The Booktube-A-Thon has officially ended.
I read a total of 2,527 pages and 7 books throughout the readathon. Here are the books I finished, the challenge I used them for, their total page numbers, and my rating of them:
Challenge One– Read a book with a person on the cover.
For this challenge, I read Alienated by Melissa Landers. This is the first book in the Alienated Trilogy and has 344 pages. I gave this book 3/5 stars. I will be doing a review for this book, along with the second one, within the week.
Challenge Two– Read a hyped book.
I read The Last Star by Rick Yancey for this challenge. It has 338 pages and is the third and final book in the Fifth Wave Trilogy. I thought this book both enjoyable and emotional (especially the ending), so I gave it 3.5/5 stars.
Challenge Three– Finish a book in a day.
I read Illuminae by Amie Kuafman and Jay Kristoff to complete this challenge. This book is the first in the Illuminae Files Series and has 599 pages. I am going to be doing a spoiler free review of this book later this week, or early next week. I really liked Illuminae and gave it 4/5 stars.
Challenge Four– Read about a character that is very different from you.
For this challenge, I read Invaded by Melissa Landers. I rated this book 2.5/5 stars and it has 356 pages. This book is going to be included in the review that I am writing for Alienated. Overall, I did not like this book very much, and I do not plan on finishing the series.
Challenge Five– Finish a book completely outdoors.
I read The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan completely outdoors. This was a re-read of the book and I kept my original rating of 5/5 stars. This book has 376 pages and is the first book in the Trials of Apollo Series.
Challenge Six– Read a book you bought because of the cover.
This challenge is the only challenge where I did not stick to my original pick. Instead of reading Passenger by Alexandra Bracken, I read The Accident by Elie Wiesel. It has 120 pages. I absolutely loved this book and gave it 5/5 stars. I thought the writing was phenomenal and the story being intertwined with Elie’s past was very thought provoking. I recommend this book to everyone.
Challenge Seven– Read seven books.
The seventh book I read was The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan. This is the second book in the Trials Of Apollo Series and has 414 pages. I thought this book was hilarious and very relatable, thus I gave it 4.5/5 stars.
As well as finishing all of these books, I read 47 pages of Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. If you participated in the Booktube-A-Thon, what did you read?
I didn’t participate Booktube-A-Thon, but congrats on finishing so many books!
Thank you!
