• July Wrap Up and August TBR

    In the past, I’ve never done any monthly wrap ups or TBRs (To Be Read) and instead have done a general post on all the books I read in the year, and while I’m still planning to do that, I thought doing these monthly ones would be fun too.     “Recent Reads” is a series that I do where I discuss the books that I’ve read recently, give a small review, and share my thoughts. I find it difficult sometimes to write a full review of every book I read because I don’t always have a lot to say, but sometimes I still want to discuss my thoughts.     In 2019, I read 40 books. Of these books, I gave 13 of them 5/5 stars, 11 of them 4/5 stars, 13 3/5 stars, and 2 books received a rating of 2/5 stars. Overall, my average rating was 3.8/5 stars. The author I read the most books from was Shaun David Hutchinson, having read nine of his books. Overall, I read books from twenty-seven different authors, 24 of which I have never read from before. The majority of the books I read were released in 2018. Only three of the books I read were actually released in 2019.     Here is a list of all the books I read this year, and what I rated them. Within the next few days, I will be posting a list of my favorite books from the year with some of my thoughts on them.
