The Glittering Court By Richelle Mead

This is a spoiler free review.

I gave The Glittering Court 4.5/5 stars. I think this book is great. I also think, that this book is very well written and enjoyable. I would recommend this book to people who are fans of The Selection and, to people who like a like a bit of action in their novels.

This book is about a noblewoman named Ada, who is not happy with her current life.  Her maid Adelaide is offered a place in The Glittering Court, a place that teaches middle class women how become women worthy of higher class men, but she does not want to be a part of this. She wants to work on a farm.

Ada and Adelaide then decide to work on a plan that would allow Ada to take Adelaide’s place, even though she could go to jail for this. The plan is in action and seems to be working, until Ada, now known as Adelaide, sees Cedric. She and Cedric met once before when he went to ask Ada to join The Glittering Court. Now she has to hope he will keep her secret, or else she might have risked everything for nothing.

I really enjoyed the mini plot twists throughout this novel, they really spiced it up. I really enjoyed the idea of this story, I thought it was very interesting. I really liked all the characters as well, except for a few, mostly because I thought they were a bit evil.

The only thing I did not really like about this book was the super fast paced ending. I thought the book went at a really nice pace the whole time, except the ending felt a bit rushed and thought it could have been a bit slower.

Other than that, I thought it was a great read!
