Red Queen By Victoria Aveyard

Red Queen By Victoria Aveyard

This is a spoiler free review.

I am giving this book a 5/5 stars. I thought it was phenomenal! I would highly recommend this to anyone. This book is an amazing mix of fantasy and action. Victoria Aveyard’s writing style is both gripping and powerful.

The book is about a girl named Mere who is born into a Red family. Reds are common folk who do not posses power like the Silvers, who rule the government. Silvers have extraordinary powers such as telekinesis, power of fire, and power to heal. Silvers believe they are better than Reds because they have these powers.

Mere is working at the palace when she falls and blasts lighting into the air realizing she has a power even though she is a Red. Now the palace must hide her from the other Reds and Silvers before they find out the a Red possess Silver abilities.

I really enjoyed all the twists and turns throughout the book. It was really hard to predict what would happen next so it always kept me on the edge of my seat. The battle scenes in this book are extremely well written and I really loved that it was an action packed adventure.

The characters all had incredible character development. Each of the characters had very interesting and unique personalities. Some of the characters were very sneaky and you never knew who to trust. I also loved all of the Silver’s powers and how well Aveyard portrayed them.

This is one book you shouldn’t miss out on!
